Sewer network surveying and documentation for municipalities and industrial sites in the Zlín region (DTM Project)

The main motivation of the contracting authority for the implementation of the contract

The Digital Technical Map of Regions (DTM) is a unified and binding source of spatial data according to Act No. 47/2020 Coll., on the DTM of the Czech Republic. It provides up-to-date information on technical infrastructure, transport and territory for public administration and experts. DTM supports the digitalization of construction processes and effective territorial management. The Zlín Region mapped the technical infrastructure in its areas and in several selected municipalities within the framework of two contracts DTM 1 and DTM 2.

Project implementation

The project was divided into several key phases:

1. 1. Collection of existing data and documentation in municipalities and on-site for possible consolidation.
   2. Analysis and consolidation of usable data for the survey of technical infrastructure from the documentation of the actual construction.
   3. Definition of locations in which networks need to be mapped, surveyed and monitored.
   4. Field tracing and searching for underground networks, geodetic surveying and digitization into the JVF DTM format, or as passport documentation.
   5. Handover and control of data by the client.
   6. Insertion of data into DTM in the form of an external editor and insertion into the GIS application for most municipalities.

Handover and control on the client’s side

Data and documents in JVF DTM formats were created for insertion into DTM.

A passport of the water supply and sewage system was created for some municipalities, which also records the technical condition of the pipeline, clogging and proposals for repairs and investments. The passport includes videos of views into individual shafts and photo documentation
